Cellulite is something that all women have to contend with during their lives. It occurs on the bum and thighs when a build up of fat is lodged and pushed up under the skin making it look bumpy. You may not have the time to do 50 squats a few times a day to try to get rid of your lumps and bumps, but luckily you can use a fake tan to help diminish the appearance of cellulite.
Applying a fake tan can help to reduce the appearance of cellulite as a darker tone gives the skin a flatter appearance. Bronzed skin makes you look more lean without you having to have to work out and aids in reducing the way that cellulite appears on the skin.
Consistently massaging the affected area of celluite helps to break down the fat, so a gradual tanning moisturiser would be perfect as you can kill two birds with one stone by gradually building up a natural glow whilst keeping the skin nice and soft, massaging the cellulite.
Generally the darker the tan, the less the appearance of cellulite so if you have a severe case of those pesky bumps, it is best to go as dark as you can without making yourself look like a tangerine. A spray tan can be ideal as the stylist performing it can apply the tan to make the body appear more sculpted, plus there are various shades to choose from. Be aware that it is not recommended to opt for a mahogany brown if your natural skin tone is porcelain white at the risk of looking a bit OTT.
Having a spray tan, applying a gradual or even an instant tan is ideal as you can appear flawless and tanned without having to damage your skin with harmful UV rays. In fact sunbeds and natural sun tans worsen the appearance of cellulite and make it more noticeable. You can save your skin from ageing and damage by avoiding the ultra violet lights and using for the spray gun instead.
With all forms of tanning exfoliate, remove hair and moisturise before any application and avoid immediate contact with clothing as it can rub off and stain.
